Item Description
1.75" with rarely seen W&H back paper which has a Newark union bug where the words "Made By" are normally located and this has only the April 24 and July 17, 1896 patent dates with the usual July 17, 1894 patent eliminated.
One of Nebraska's earliest breweries, it was founded 1859 and in 1861 became "Metz Bros. Brewing Co." Added text is "Omaha's Favorite Beer" with smaller text apparently referring to a South Dakota agent as "John Theber, Agt. Deadwood". Superb color. Glossy, Exc. and rare. See next two related lots.
