Item Description
11x16-3/8" artboard features pen and ink original art for page 8 of G.I. Joe And The Transformers #1, published by Marvel Nov. 1986. This crossover comic featuring two of Hasbro's most popular toylines features art by Herb Trimpe (1939-2015), best known as the seminal 1970s artist on The Incredible Hulk and as the first artist to draw for publication the character of Wolverine. Art was inked by Vince Colletta (1923-1991). Six panel page is G.I. Joe heavy, featuring Dreadnok Torch on motorcycle, shooting his flamethrower towards Junkyard, much to Mutt's anger. Fourth panel features Beach Head while Scarlett swoops in to knock Torch off cycle and she is joined by Snake Eyes in last panel. Top margin has inked "Joe/Transformers" title and issue number. Bottom margin has been signed in black ink by Trimpe as well as Marvel editor-in-chief Jim Shooter in black felt tip pen. Lower left corner has slight clip. Artboard margins have some lt. scattered aging but art remains clean and Exc.
