Item Description
15" tall composition doll manufactured in 1947 by Imperial Crown Toy Co. as an exclusive for Macy's. Jointed at shoulders, hips and head. Doll has sleep eyes that work. Detailed costume is complete, including snap-on stitched fabric cape, shirt w/felt Superman "S" shield chest emblem, cloth shorts, original oilcloth shoes, knitted socks and snap vinyl belt. Very minor and typical crazing on arms/legs as well as along vertical left/right center of head and across top, but this is very minor in nature and not overly distracting. Doll has obvious fading to blue top and slight hint of fading to red cape and shorts. Doll has had no restoration and remains in its original state. Fine overall. Rare and one of the few examples we've offered in our 58 years. Danny Fuchs Collection.
