Item Description
3x5.25" on thin paper. Below the candidates' names is Jackson quoted "The will of the people-The only sovereign known to our laws-let those tremble who have disobeyed it 'For the day of reckoning is at hand." Scattered age toning w/moderate surface wear and handling. Fine. An interesting ballot w/clear reference to the Corrupt Bargain of 1824. Jackson utilized this rhetoric heavily during the 1828 campaign, claiming the will of the people was subverted and that he was cheated out of his rightful election four years prior.
