Item Description
6.75x9.5" album w/24 pages contains complete set of 126 full color paper stock cards; each is approx. 2x2-7/8" and mounted at appropriate spots. Issued in Spain by Editorial Bruguera in the 1940s and based on the 1942 Donald Duck animated short Donald Gets Drafted, which saw Donald drafted into the US Army during World War II and follows his introduction to military life. Cards are scene-for-scene adaptation. Cover art shows Donald covered in ants and trying to stand still as his drill sergeant Pete approaches. Cover shows some scattered handling wear and aging w/corner tip wear and creases. Some scattered spots of staining. Cover is Fine overall. Pages are evenly aged w/corner tip wear, but cards remain clean and EX as mounted. Very rare foreign issue and the first we've seen in our 58 years.
