Item Description
Former and future Major Leaguers mix with Negro Leaguers and Caribbean stars in this issue produced for the 1946-47 Winter League season. Issued as four-card sheets and printed in color on thin paper. This hand-cut card measures 2.25x3". Player identification is on card back along w/career notes and sponsor advertising. An album was issued in conjunction w/this series. O'Neill was a two-time All-Star, Negro World Series champion and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2022. At time of cataloging, PSA pop report indicates that this is one of only two examples of this card ever graded by PSA with none higher. Richard Merkin Collection.
