Item Description
From same set as previous lot. Brown was a four-time Negro American League pennant winner, Negro World Series champion, six-time Negro League All-Star and the first African-American to hit a home run in the American League. Inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2006. At time of cataloging, PSA pop report indicates that this example is one of only two cards ever graded by PSA for this variation, w/this one being the highest graded. Richard Merkin Collection.
