Item Description
Issued during the 1952-53 Winter League season, these were made to be mounted in an album. Printed on thin paper, each card measures 2-1/8x3-1/8". Fronts feature colorized photos while backs are printed in Spanish and include player name, card number, personal data and career summary. Minoso began his baseball career in the Negro Leagues in 1946 and became an All-Star third baseman with the New York Cubans. He was signed by the Cleveland Indians of Major League Baseball (MLB) after the 1948 season as baseball's color line fell. He went on to become an All-Star left fielder w/the Indians and Chicago White Sox and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 2022. at time of cataloging, PSA pop report indicates that this card is one of only two examples ever graded by PSA.
