Item Description
2x3". Little is known about this issue. The complete set consists of 231 "cards" that are actually stickers to be used w/an accompanying album. Several former Negro League players are found within the set, as are a number of young Major Leaguers that were getting in extra Winter work in Puerto Rico. Brown was a four-time Negro American League pennant winner, Negro World Series champion, six-time Negro League All-Star and the first African-American to hit a home run in the American League. Inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2006. Richard Merkin Collection.
