Item Description
Pair of double-matted displays w/rattan tops, featuring original art on illustration boards that was used in production of Pebbles Flintstone books. ©1963 Hanna-Barbera Productions. This includes the cover art that was for both the Little Golden Books and Big Golden Books editions. Art is credited to Mel Crawford within book. Cover comes in 17x20" double mat w/11x14" opening revealing image of Pebbles riding Dino as Baby Puss hands her a bottle. Doubled-matted display includes acetate overlay sheet w/hand-painted title and text for Little Golden Books edition. 18-1/8x23-7/8" double mat w/12.75x18.75" opening for original art for endpapers for these books. Art shows Pebbles riding swing hanging from Dino's neck, which is stuck out Flintstones' house's window. Baby Puss ducks under the swing. Fred Flintstone shows off his ingenuity to Wilma, who is returning w/groceries. Barney Rubble is seen in bkg. Both pieces show lt. aging/wear. Painting edges taped to matting from behind and could be removed if desired or ready to frame as is. Both are Exc. and ready for framing. Comes w/reading copy of the Big Golden Book this art was created for.
