Item Description
2.5x3-1/8". From a set of 48. ACC# R172. Cards are numbered 1-25 Series A (w/red panel, except #25) and 26-49 Series B (w/blue panel). The bonus card #25 is an outlier, not considered part of the base set. This is among the rarest of all 1930s non-sport cards and as such, is highly sought after and rarely comes up for sale. Title is "Cowboy Outfit Free", it lists and pictures: hat, belt & holster, gun & bullets, chaps and neckerchief. Back notes this outfit could be obtained by sending in this bonus card along w/either cards 1-24 or 26-49. Gum Inc. produced this card in extremely limited numbers as to avoid giving out many of these outfits. A must have for any serious non-sport card collector. From John Grossman Collection and showing how serious a collector he was, he had two examples of this card in his collection. In our July 2024 auction we sold his 2.5 Good+ example for $4,867. Who knows how long it will be until we offer another, the two from John are the only examples we have offered in our 58 years.
