Item Description
2.5x3-1/8". Complete set of 144. ACC# 157/158. Issue in two different sets: 1-96 were simply titled "Uncle Sam" while the extended set, numbered 97-144, was titled "Uncle Sam's Home Defense." Choice color art fronts, text backs. The first 96 cards focus on military personnel, vehicles and equipment while the even more desirable high number cards focus on the war effort of the home front. The rare high number cards (121-144) have all been third party graded. Grade breakdown is as follows-PSA: 5.5 EX+ (1), 5 EX (2), 4.5 VG/EX+ (1), 4(MC) VG/EX (1), 3 VG (1), 2 Good (4), 1 Poor (1); CGC: 3.5 VG+ (1), 3 VG (2), 2.5 Good+ (4), 2 Good (3), 1.5 Fair (1), AA (2). The non-TPG cards seem to fall mostly in the VG to VG/EX range but w/some higher and some lower. A classic war-theme issue offered as an instant collection.
