Item Description
Front box panel "Premium Coupon" is 2-3/8x2-7/8". © Superman Inc. Cards in this series (see next seven lots) have perforated sides as these were back panels of candy boxes and intended to be removed and collected, as well as perforated front panel such as the one offered here. Front features classic image of Superman breaking chains while text back is a "Valuable Superman Premium Coupon" and lists Superman premium items: club kit, ring, emblem (patch) and pin. Items were available for different configurations of money and coupons. The example in this lot is CGC 2 Good. However, the real selling point of this lot is the 2.25x2.25x1" thick original printing block which has metal plate w/breaking chains image mounted to a wood block. This was used to print the image on the front box panel. Typical wear and age from use but most likely unique and certainly the only example we've seen in our 58 years. Something very different for the Leader set completist. Danny Fuchs Collection.
