Carl Owen Hubbell, nicknamed "the Meal Ticket" and "King Carl", was an American Major League Baseball player. He was a pitcher for the New York Giants of the National League from 1928 to 1943, and remained on the team's payroll for the rest of his life, long after their move to San Francisco. Some career highlights include being a nine time All-Star, a two time MVP, pitched a no-hitter on 5/8/29 and was a World Series Champion in 1933. Carl Hubbell was inducted into the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1947. The autograph on the matchbook is very strong with excellent placement. This signed copy is one of only two examples ever graded by PSA as well as being the highest graded.
