3.5x3.5". The set consists of 52 cards. The 1952 Red Man Tobacco card set marked the first national set of tobacco cards produced since the early part of the 20th century. The 25 top players and one manager from each league comprised this highly desirable first year issue. Each item featured a colorful, quality likeness of the respective ballplayer resting against a solid background, with his name, team name and biographical data appearing in a white block on the card front. Handling wear and creasing is often problematic. Furthermore, each piece was originally issued with a .5" perforated tab along the bottom of the card, which was often haphazardly removed, resulting in further damage. The cards are numbered and dated only on the tabs.

Robin Roberts was a Major League Baseball starting pitcher, primarily for the Philadelphia Phillies (1948-1961). He spent the latter part of his career with the Baltimore Orioles (1962-1965), Houston Astros (1965-66), and Chicago Cubs (1966). He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1976. After his playing days, he coached the NCAA's South Florida Bulls baseball team for nine seasons, leading them to six conference titles. The autograph on the card is very strong with excellent placement. This signed copy is the only example ever graded by PSA, making it a true 1/1.
