Item Description
3.5x5.5". From 1953-1963, Artvue was the official producer of the Baseball Hall of Fame's postcards available for public sale. The black-and-white cards depict the bronze plaque of each inductee, Fronts have a white border. postcard-style backs have a bit of player data and identification of the specific producer. On Type 2 Artvue cards, issued 1956-1963, there are baseball bolts in each corner of the plaque.
William Malcolm Dickey was an American professional baseball catcher and manager. He played in Major League Baseball with the New York Yankees for 17 seasons. Dickey managed the Yankees as a player-manager in 1946 in his last season as a player. Some career highlights include being an 11 time All-Star and seven time World Series Champion. Bill Dickey was inducted into the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1954. The autograph on this card is bold with great placement at the bottom. This signed copy is the only one graded by PSA at this level with nbone graded higher.
