Item Description
2.5x3.5". Because some of the cards were redeemable either alone or in combination for cash awards, and thus were issued in lesser quantities, completion of this game issue was difficult from day one. Fifty different players are known in the issue, along with a number of variations. The majority of the cards can be found with card backs either explaining the game rules or pictureing a pitcher throwing to a batter. The cards were issued in two-card panels, designed to be separated into a pair of cards. For lack of an MLB license, the color player photos at center have the uniform logos removed. Printed at top is the face value of the particular card, while the player's name, team and league are printed in a white circle at bottom-right. American Leaguers' cards are bordered in red, while the Natonal League cards have blue borders.
Frank Robinson began his MLB career with the Reds and played for the team 1956-1965. His accolades are extensive and include NL ROY, 14-time All-Star, NL and AL MVP, Triple Crown, two-time World Series champ and more. In 1975, became the first African American manager in MLB history with the Cleveland Indians. Frank Robinson was inducted into the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1982. The autograph on the card is very strong and excellently placed without impeding the image. This signed copy is the only example ever graded by PSA, making it a true 1/1.
