Item Description
1.25" white metal with maker's name and city abbreviation in tiny letters on lower right edge. Also see anti-slavery medal by Davis #128. Front of this piece has unique Harrison portrait with rim text "General Harrison. President 1840." Reverse reads "Liberty And Independence" showing seated figure of Liberty flanked by a shield and eagle. From the upper right to the lower left, a very fine hairline die break barely shows. The broken die likely occurred early in the striking process accounting for the rarity of the design. On the front, Harrison's nose tip and chin have the very slightest flattening and a small dot of luster is lacking from his forehead but overall condition is certainly Exc. and luster is N. Mint. First we've seen. Rare.
