Item Description
This famous Harrison vs. VanBuren campaign was the first to see widespread use of badges. This piece is a 13/16x1" vertical format brass frame with Mint luster front edges surrounding enamel on reverse glass insert depicting a log cabin with flag and cider barrel accents and the slogan "Harrison & Reform." The color is cream with slight pale pink tone. First of this color we've offered plus the vertical format is scarcer than those of horizontal style. Near the top left edge, the glass has a tiny shallow dot gone from the surface but less than 1/16" in dia. The rest of the front is Mint with sharp corners on the beveled edges of the glass. The reverse "T" shaped pin has the vertical shaft replaced and the brass loop to lock the pin has a tiny piece off the right side but the pin still snaps firmly closed under the left loop. A rare color and the front displays N. Mint.
