Item Description
1" (25mm) listed as DeWitt/Sullivan JF1864-7. Front frame reads "For President J.C. Fremont" and reverse reads "For Vice President John Cochrane" plus tiny 1862 patent date at reverse bottom edge. Luster displays N. Mint on both sides. Only two trivial flaws: a near pinpoint tarnish dot on extreme top brass edge and a virtual pinpoint dot dent on the upper right of Fremont's shoulder, but the emulsion surface is not even broken and this tiny dot shows only in certain light angles. Rare in this N. Mint condition and a ferrotype style most popular with collectors.
