Item Description
Brass frame with Exc. glossy luster features a palm spray to the left and right of the date. This design is a mate to DeWitt/Sullivan Lincoln #101 and Douglas #39. The Bell image is quite clear although the upper right bkg. is missing an emulsion flake 1/16" wide by 3/16" long. This shows simply as a slightly darker area compared to the rest of the emulsion. The Everett ferro is quite dark and facial details are not very apparent unless viewed under magnification. Also, if the piece is held with Everett's name at the top and the date at the bottom, then his ferrotype image is positioned on a horizontal rather than the correct vertical plane. The Bell side still displays quite nicely and the opening bid accounts for the condition issues.
