Item Description
DeWitt/Sullivan 1876-34 depicting large shield 1.25x1.75" with cut-outs in the brass for the slogan on 3 lines at the top while below are cut-outs surrounding real cardboard photos of the Republican candidates. On left is "R.B. Hayes" with word "President" above although tiny dot loss of paper removed the letters "PR" at the start and a small portion of "EN." These are very tiny defects showing little. On the right side is the photo of "W.A. Wheeler Vice-President" which has essentially invisible 1/8" edge tear at his right shoulder. Reverse has 4 tabs holding cardboard covering in place. Stickpin appears original although solder dot that holds it seems fresh. Extremely Fine and if one could be found closer to mint the price could also get prohibitive.
