Auction 192 - Part I
Item numbers 1 though 1052 in auction 192
Item Description
In March, 1911 TR made a western tour speaking at the dedication of Roosevelt Dam. Visits to many cities followed and this 4.25" long by .5" thick section of tree branch is a souvenir for attendees at the Press Club reception. Quoted words are on paper strip tied by red and white ribbons with an inserted straight pin on reverse so the piece could be worn. Tiny age traces on the paper. A split on loose end of white ribbon. Still extremely Fine and certainly an extremely rare limited issue memento of TR's visit. First we've seen.
