Item Description
1.75" c. 1930s portrait button. Across center is 3/8" wide air streak that catches reflected light but really detracts very little. Broun covered baseball and Giants for the NY Tribune and was close friend of Christy Mathewson. After WWI he joined the Morning World and did famous column "It Seems To Me." He became close friends with Ruth. It was Broun who led his story about Game Two of the 1923 World Series with classic line "The Ruth Is Mighty And Shall Prevail." Only one seen. Still displays Exc.
