Item Description
First is 5.5x8.25" with 112 pages signed copy of "Dead End Yells Wedding Bells Cockle Shells And Dizzy Spells" autobiography. Gorcey has signed in blue ink on inside front page with added "7/10/67" date. Dust jacket has tears at spine and top and bottom margins and is Fine. Book is Exc/N. Mint. Next is 5.25x7" fan photo with facsimile inscription "For My Friends - No Dead Ends! Yours, Leo B. Gorcey." Corner tip wear. VF. Comes with original mailing envelope. Third is Western Union telegram dated Aug. 20, 1946 and sent to Hollywood columnist Jimmy Starr concerns bad blood between Gorcey and Groucho Marx, as Gorcey's ex-wife married Groucho. Folded once horizontally and twice vertically as mailed. Evenly aged. Fine. Last item in lot is 11x14" lobby card for "Private Eyes" a 1953 comedy starring Gorcey and The Bowery Boys. Corner chip off top left-hand corner with pin holes at corner. VF appearance. Comes with Hake's COA.
