Item Description
6.25x8.5x2.25" deep box. c. 1947-1948. Front of box has ad for Pep buttons including images of Superman, Orphan Annie and Moon Mullins. Side panel has another ad listing 18 Pep buttons showing examples of Daddy Warbucks and Chester Gump, also shows ad for beanie cap. Back Panel consists of "Superman And The Pirates!" 8-panel comic strip, No. 2. This is one of at least 12 Superman box backs known. Box backs also mentions the Superman radio program. Box has neat cut along top front and side edges but re-sealed for display. Displays VF. Box is scarce, complete and intact.
