Item Description
9x14x7" deep. 1938. Electric, first we've seen in creamy white bakelite style plastic case. Our previous three examples were all dark brown. Radio works well and has spring-loaded lift-up handle on top. Dial has full description of him holding lasso and riding Silver against blue bkg. w/white caption "Hi-Yo Silver" and title "The Lone Ranger." Dial lights but not very brightly, apparently as designed. Case is extremely clean w/only two small flaws. The side panel on right has hairline streak 3" long w/a few black dots and 1/8" long black lines in the plastic scattered at left end, center and right end. Other tiny flaw is on the case underside where a .5" plastic sliver is off one end of one of the four bars that raise the radio off the table surface. Only other wear is tiny bit of very minor chipping around outer edges of the cream-colored fiberboard back cover w/.5x1" fiberboard gone at bottom right corner screw hole. Two generic screws are gone but other three hold back securely. Overall extremely Fine and displays N. Mint. Works perfectly for AM stations.
