Item Description
Lot of three. c. 1940s. Each illustration is done on artboard using India ink/grease pencil accents. All art is signed "Mort." Various printer's notations are seen outside border along with captions at the top. First is "Here's Your Chance To Hit The Jap Pot." Bullets fly from "U.S. War Bonds" register as money is cranked through the top. 13x16" art area. Second is "What So Proudly We Hail" with laborer on flagpole raising "Army/Navy" flag. Text at bottom reads "Waterbury Tool Division Of Vickers', Inc." 13x16" art area. Last is "Ringing In, In The Morning, 'Rings' Out The Nazi-Jap At Night." Illustrations of disparaged Hitler, Tojo, Mussolini appear around worker at time clock. Notation above clock reads "We're Putting Our Spare Dollars Into Bonds." 14x16" art area. Notations in margins and on back indicate these were used in various company publications. Light wear. Few handling creases. Displays VF/Exc.
