Item Description
12.5" tall "Dancing Charlie" jointed cardboard puppet was made in England c. 1920s. Jointed at hips and knees. Scattered creasing at arms, neck and hat. These are only visible in reflected light and puppet still displays Exc. 10.75x15.25" "Charlie Chaplin Coloring Book" Saalfield #198 published in 1941 in conjunction with Chaplin's classic 1940 WWII spoof The Great Dictator. Throughout unused coloring book, Chaplin is depicted (as he is on covers) as the Little Tramp. Also seen in scenes from The Great Dictator and other Chaplin shorts and films. Coloring book has pinch creases to spine and moisture stain to top margins of covers, not affecting interior pages. Fine.
