Lot of two, both ©1943. First is "The Gremlins" 9x11.25" hardcover by Random House. "A Royal Air Force Story By Flight Lieutenant Roald Dahl." 56 pages featuring illustrations on every page in both bw and choice full color. A Gremlins Disney movie was planned but never produced. Cover has scattered surface paper rubs along edges/corner tips. Glossy, Fine. One page has a 3" tear with tape repair, o/w contents lightly aged but clean and VF overall. Scarce. Second is "Winter Draws On/Meet The Spandules" 4x6", 20-page booklet. Issued by the Safety Education Division Flight Control Command/U.S. Army Air Forces. All in bw/blue including full page illustration by Disney Studios of "The Spandules, A Close Relative Of The Gremlin." Issued to pilots with tips for avoiding cold weather problems regarding aircraft. Light wear along spine edge. VF.
