Item Description
The Disney Good Housekeeping story is thoroughly detailed in the book "Walt Disney's Mickey And The Gang Classic Stories In Verse" published by Gemstone. To quote from that book "Poetic Disney Stories Hit The Newsstands In 1934, When The Animation Studio Joined In A Mutual Promotional Plan With Good Housekeeping Magazine." GH felt that a Disney page in each issue of the magazine would be a sales plus; Disney liked the idea of a permanent advance publicity break for its latest cartoon shorts." This partnership ran from April of 1934 through Sept. of 1944. During that time, a total of 120 different one-page features were produced and this is a lot of 117, missing just the three one-page Bambi installments from 1942. There were also four multi-page features, comprising two installments each of Snow White and Pinocchio although these are also not included. Each page is 8x11.5". Countless classics are included such as The Grasshopper and the Ants, The Wise Little Hen, The Band Concert, Mickey's Magic Hat, Donald's Elephant, The Country Cousin, Farmyard Symphony, Three Little Wolves, much, much more. All have been neatly removed and exhibit just light margin wear/aging. Overall VF/Exc. A great opportunity to obtain a near complete run. Individually these pages are superb for framing.
