Item Description
Large 3.5" dia. by .75" deep lacquered papier mache snuff box captioned below "Gen. Zach. Taylor" with slogan surrounding "Old Rough And Ready - The Hero Of The War With Mexico." Some color loss to right of his image also covers the words on rim edge "With Mexico." A 1.5" segment of lid's side edge came loose but is invisibly repaired. Overall very strong color and condition remains superior to most known examples. Fine.
