1982 copyright of Nixon book "Leaders." 6.25x9.25". Hardbound. 372 pages. Dust jacket with 4 dot dents on front/small rubs on color photo of Nixon on back. Dust jacket VF. Book Exc. Signed in Nixon's hand "To Irving Paul 'Swifty' Lazar A Leader - From Richard Nixon 1-26-88." 3" long Nixon signature. Lazar was a talent agent and deal maker from the 30s until his death in '93. He represented a long list of top tier celebrities. He was renowned for his annual post-Academy Award parties. Lazar appears as a character in Peter Morgan's stage play "Frost/Nixon." In the play Lazar negotiates a deal with David Frost on behalf of former president Richard Nixon for Frost to interview Nixon. The play is closely based on real life events. If one were to own only one personally inscribed Nixon book, this would have to be considered one of the best. Comes with Hake's COA.
