Item Description
Lot of two. First is 22.5x35". Uncut sheet of two identical photos used for cardboard signs advertising "National Bohemian Beer." Light handling wear as rolled. VF. That year, the Colts won the National Football League championship game against the New York Giants. The game has since become widely known as "The Greatest Game Ever Played." Second is 8.5x11" "Tops In Sports" banquet program dated January 12, 1959. 16 pages. Two weeks after the Colts won the championship. Sponsored by the Maryland Professional Baseball Players Association, the program features a full-page tribute to the Baltimore Colts "1958 World Champions." Baseball players honored that night include with their pictures: Bob Turley, Ernie Banks, Cal Ermer, Gus Triandos, Rocky Colavito, Mickey Vernon as well as former heavyweight champion Rocky Marciano.
