Item Description
Beautiful golden yellow fabric printed on the reverse "Compliments Of...The Brainerd & Armstrong Spool Silk Company." From the front, the folded ribbon lays back to the left and right to reveal a 5-1/8" long extremely early sheet of celluloid that includes Grant's portrait, a list of major events in his life between 1822 and 1885 and the copyright and name of the maker "Geo. A. Snow Park Place, N.Y." Item was a souvenir from the ceremony at his entombment at Riverside Park, NYC Aug. 8, 1885. About the third we've seen in 40 years. Striking and N. Mint.
