Item Description
This is one of the most striking covers to ever come out during World War II. Jack Burnley’s cover art is direct and to the point with the familiar Bat insignia taking up a full third of the cover. Below it, a grinning Batman fires a monstrous machine gun at an unspecified enemy and Robin kneels next to him feeding the weapon round after continuous round. The cover also has a direct appeal to buy war bonds. This is a great, early issue of Batman that features stories by Finger, Cameron, and Schiff. The interior art is by Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson. The pages are white. The book is CGC-certified VF- 7.5 by CGC. The issue also marks the first appearance of Catwoman in her new costume.
