8.5x11" certificate comes with original mailing envelope with "Supermen Of America" return address. Certificate was issued 1939-1965 in a number of slightly different versions throughout the years. This is the first issue ©1939 by Detective Comics Inc. Envelope has moderate scattered aging and wear from mailing and .5x1.25" stain on addressee's name. VG/Fine. Certificate has typed name and address of original recipient matching that of envelope. Has individual issue number "72492." Pin hole on address line. Folded as issued. Exc. Also comes with 5.5x8.5" letter with repeated image from certificate showing Superman breaking chains. Content welcomes member to club and mentions DC Comics: Action Comics, Detective Comics, Adventure Comics, More Fun Comics, Flash Comics and All-American Comics as well as Superman Quarterly. Slightly aged with staple hole at top margin, o/w N. Mint.
