Item Description
Two 8.5x14" letters. First letter instructs receiver to send away to newspaper for copy of "Solar Scouts Orders" #1. Issue has multiple folds as issued with moderate insect damage to top half. VG. Second letter is addressed to "Veteran Solar Scout Rocket Rangers" and deals with "Chief Explorer's Badge." Folded as issued with thin streak of insect damage and .25" tear at top fold. VG/Fine. Beautiful 1.5" badge finished in brass luster with dark red enamel paint. Front has club name "Buck Rogers Solar Scouts" and reverse has inscription "Awarded For Distinguished Achievement" plus facsimile "Buck Rogers" signature. Issued by Cream of Wheat in 1936 and offered again in "Famous Funnies" comic book in 1939. Exc. Scarce.
