1.75x4.75x1.5" deep cardboard mailer has postal date Oct. 1, 1953 and has return Whitehall Pharmacal Co. address. Box shows light wear from mailing and aging but is VF. Issued in 1953 by Kolynos Toothpaste. Mailer contains 4.5" tall multi-compartment plastic rocket that contains separate 2.25" tall Spaceman. Premium featured several different uses including "Secret Whistle" (Spaceman serves as whistle), "Martian Magnifying Glass, Spaceman Torpedo, Spaceman Submarine, Counter-Gravity Compartment, Secret Code Compartment, Secret Toothpaste Opening and 'Zing Zong' Code." Rocket tail has a few minor hairline stress lines but premium o/w appears unused and N. Mint. Came with 8.5x11" sheet including details on features of premium as well as list of rocket parts and "Zing Zong Code." This area of sheet was cut along perforated lines as intended but is included. Code was meant to be folded and stored inside rocket tail. Sheet is heavily folded and has tears along fold creases and .25" chip at bottom left-hand corner. VG. Rare and first we've seen.
