Item Description
8x13.75x9.25" tall cardboard box. Case contains 12 pint bottles of flavored syrups for soft drinks. Space Foods Company of Baltimore, MD. c. 1950s. Box is nicely illustrated with blue/red space images including spacemen bottle images and "Asteroid Airdrome." Box shows the lightest traces of wear and is Exc./N. Mint. Glass bottles shaped like spacemen with painted details and original labels. Complete with caps and cardboard tabs that fit under caps, each bottle has been emptied but remains in immaculate condition. Flavors include raspberry, lemon-lime, grape, orange and cherry. Each spaceman has Saturn name and image with different colors and ranks. Ranks include: Space Commander, Orbit Admiral, Asteroid Commander, Space Navigator, Interplanetary Commander, Space Admiral, Space Scout, Space Sentry, Space Ace and Space Bombardier. Two duplicate ranks include Space Admiral and Space Navigator. These two duplicate ranks do not have their labels. Bottles also doubled as banks as caps have coin slot. N. Mint. Rarely found this nice and complete.
