Professionally framed and matted 26x26.5" high quality frame contains bw image of Wilson and a separate plaque noting years of his birth, death and time as 28th President of the United States. Rest of plaque goes on to detail Wilson's rise to the presidency. 6.25x8" typed letter on White House stationery is dated Dec. 1, 1915 and reads "My Dear Doctor Roberts: I Have Your Kind Letter Of November Seventeenth But Think It Would Not Be Wise For Me To Accept The Position Of A Delegate To The Meeting Of The Executive Committee Of The Federal Council Of The Churches Of Christ In America. I Do Not Feel That In My Present Office I Ought To Represent Any Special Body. Cordially And Sincerely Yours, Woodrow Wilson." Sent to Rev. Dr. William H. Roberts of Philadelphia, PA. Folded once as mailed, signature has lightened somewhat with age but remains distinct. Letter margins have slight age shadowing but overall display Exc. Large and impressive. Comes with Hake's COA.
