The items in this lot were originally owned by George McGovern's wife's sister "Ila" and her husband Bob Pennington. First is their collection of nineteen 1972 campaign buttons under glass in shadow box frame 8x17". Buttons display Mint. Second is 14.5x18" print titled "George S. McGovern Presidential Campaign Tour 1972." Map shows and lists by date "64 Cities/51,465 Air Miles." McGovern signed upper left "For Bob And Ila Who Shared This Journey Of '72 - George." Tiniest age traces. Exc. Third is hardbound book with jacket and 310 pages. Titled "Grass Roots/The Autobiography Of George McGovern." On first blank sheet McGovern wrote "For Ila And Bob Who Are Such An Important Part Of The 'Roots' That Comprise This Story - With Love From George - January 11, 1978." Exc.
