14x16.5" overall. 1930s. Exaggerated head on Ruth wearing Yankee uniform. Dempsey is shown wearing boxing trunks/gloves. Ruth holds card listing his yearly salary from 1914 to 1930 including World Series/Exhibitions/Writing Revenue totaling over one million dollars. Caption between characters reads "It Took Ruth Seventeen Seasons To Make His Million/Piker Wages For Jack! Dempsey Made Over Three Million Dollars In Less Time Than It Takes Babe To Play In Two Ball Games." Artist name "Laufer" appears at bottom left. Art done on drawing board. Chipped/aged edges. VG. Could be matted out for a Fine display. Horizontal center crease. Lot also includes original art for Philly manager "Burt Shotton." Text and illustrations explain that "Since Pat Moran's Day In 1915 No Philly Manager Has Been Able To Win A Flag." Art by "Scarbo." Center crease. Three tiny holes on left margin.
