Item Description
32.5x47.25" frame contains 28.75x43.75" die-cut paper sign featuring image of Howdy Doody holding large glass desert dish of "Royal Pudding." c. 1950s. This was a double-sided grocery store string hanger sign but this is one-half only (however same design appeared on each side). 9" dia. circle for pricing has been signed in black felt tip pen by cast of classic TV show "To Paul - Clarabell, Lew Anderson." Anderson played Clarabell 1954-1960 and again 1976-1977 on "The New Howdy Doody Show." Also signed "Hi Paul! All The Best - Your Pals Howdy Doody & Buffalo Bob Smith." Light vertical centerfold line. 1" area of surface paper loss at bottom center margin but does not greatly detract from overall appearance. Remains totally bright, clean and incredibly impressive as framed. VF overall but as framed displays Exc. The ultimate Howdy Doody store display sign, if not the ultimate Howdy Doody piece of advertising. A must for any Howdy Doody collector, a sure fire way to make it "Howdy Doody Time."
