Item Description
15.75" tall. c. 1940. Great full figure of Superman with incised "S" shield on his chest, nicely painted in his correct red/blue color scheme. Nicely detailed head has red facial accents on cheeks and mouth. Dark sparkle remnants remain on cape, "S" symbol, belt and base. More often than not, these statues were not painted in Superman's correct color scheme, making this one all the nicer. Scattered aging/lt. wear with tiny paint flake to tip of nose. Back of left arm has 1.25" paint flake. When viewed from front, statue still displays Exc. One of the nicest Superman carnival statues we've seen. From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch & Ted Hake.
