Item Description
2.75x2.75" paper with trace of adhesive staining on reverse and apparently a special label applied to a jar of peanut butter. c. 1942, the same year Skippy issued the rare Superman overseas cap which we offered only once many years ago and it sold for over $3,500. Label features great image of Superman with logo above him and text "Broadcast 5 Days Weekly Tune In/Presented By Skippy Peanut Butter/See Local Newspaper For Time." To the right of the image are radio station call letters of KYA San Francisco, KECA Los Angeles, KARM Fresno. Missing two small spots of 1/8" surface paper above and below call letters KECA. Additional tiny spot of missing surface paper from the "P" of "SUPERMAN." Other trace of wear as removed, light trace of aging but overall still a clean appearance. Fine. First we've seen.
