Item Description
19.25x30.5" professionally framed and matted display contains first day cover George M. Cohan composer envelope with Jul. 3, 1978 postmark. Signed in black felt tip pen by legendary Hollywood composers Stephen Sondheim, Henry Mancini, Aaron Copeland and Sammy Cahn, Leonard Bernstein signing in red felt tip pen. Academy Award-winning Sondheim, noted for his scoring of "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum" and "Sweeney Todd" and lyrics for "West Side Story" and "Gypsy." Mancini is best known for scoring the films "Breakfast At Tiffany's, Mr. Hobbs Takes A Vacation, Charade" and scoring the familiar Pink Panther theme. Cahn is an Academy Award-winning composer best known for his scoring of Frank Sinatra film "Three Coins In The Fountain" and for writing the lyrics for "Married With Children" TV show. He also re-wrote the English lyrics for Andrews Sisters' song "Bei Mir Bist Du Schoen." Copeland received Academy Award nominations for his scores for 1939's "Of Mice And Men," 1940's "Our Town" and the 1943 film "The North Star." Along with professional plaque with names and birth/death dates are included 2 bw glossy photo images of Bernstein and Copeland. .75x1" area of glue residue by name plaque onto satin mat and backing.
