This exceptional toy consists of painted tin three-wheeled cart with built-in key along with a pair of attached celluloid figures of Mickey as the driver and Minnie seated in the back. Japan, 1930s distributed by Geo. Borgfeldt Corp. The original box features nice art on all sides of the lid with top and two side panels featuring the toy, two other side panels are a lakeside scene. Box has trace of edge wear with some very light creases. All remains tight. Light dust soiling but all color remains strong. Fine+. On the back of Mickey's head, on left side, are two minor indents. Rim of front wheel has several small spots of paint wear. Other very light wear/aging but still an exceptional Exc. and working example. A very rare toy with even rarer box. A must-have item for any serious collector of Mickey wind-up toys. The only boxed example we've offered in our 41 years.
