Item Description
Issued for the end of prohibition (see item #30) with 1933 copyright. 4x11x12.5" tall titled on the base "Steersmen." Done in white metal with bronze luster. FDR clasps ship's wheel in center. Lincoln holds scroll representing Emancipation Proclamation and Washington stands with hand or sword's hilt. Colorful dial has name of United Clock Corp., Brooklyn. Clock winds up and as seconds tick off, the bartender moves his arm with hand holding cocktail shaker. Bkg. is a dining scene with two stylish couples plus waiter. Green felt on underside is complete. Typical small amount of luster loss. Totally clean clock dial. Clock keeps time, but two of three tiny screw nuts on reverse are likely replaced. About as nice as they come and among the scarcer designs.
