Item Description
13.25x16.25" professionally framed and matted display contains the signatures of four former first ladies. Along with signatures is a card that has been matted to 3x5" dealing with Jacqueline Kennedy and reads "Mrs. Kennedy Thanks You For Your Letter And For Your Interest Which Is Deeply Appreciated. Mrs. Kennedy Regrets That Due To The Overwhelming Amount Of Mail That She Receives, It Is Impossible To Fill Your Request." Given this response, it appears that Jackie's signature was intended for this collection as well. 3.5x5.5" opening contains stationery from "Stonewall, Texas" the location of the LBJ Ranch. This is signed in red ink by Lady Bird Johnson. 5x6.5" opening contains typed letter dated February 17, 1971. Letter reads "Dear Mrs. Schaeberle: Thank You So Much For Your Kindness In Sending Me Birthday Greetings. I Deeply Appreciate Your Good Wishes. Sincerely, Bess W. Truman." 2.5x4-1/8" opening contains card signed in brown ink by Mamie Doud Eisenhower. 1-5/8x1-7/8" opening contains four 13¢ Benjamin Harrison stamps which have been signed diagonally in black ink by Harrison's second wife "Mary Lord Harrison." Displays Exc. Great grouping of the signatures of First Ladies. Comes with Hake's COA.
